17 Now Jesse said to his son David, “Take this ephah of roasted grain and these ten loaves of bread for your brothers and hurry to their camp. 18 Take along these ten cheeses to the commander of their unit. See how your brothers are and bring back some assurance from them. 19 They are with Saul and all the men of Israel in the Valley of Elah, fighting against the Philistines.”
1 Sa 17:17–19.
Intro:
Most of the time we can find ourselves using things we know nothing about to solve life’s issues, rare do we turn to the very things that the Lord has already give us to overcome what seem giants. We forget how the Lord or King has already defeated our giants for us. As believer our stop to think for one second that the King our Lord sending us to the fight. Our mind forget quickly. We say in our mind how in the world do I gain the Victory over this.” We struggle to believe the power of the Kingdom overshadows me, I’ a Kingdom Sniper.
Trans/ Application: Whom should I fear , why must I be dismayed I fighting from the position of Victory. I heard it said, “Son if you cannot fight them with your hand, pick up a Rock and bust them in the head.” (Set up Context)
Point One : When you sent by the Father you the Holy Spirit overshadows you with the power to do the with Kingdom purpose.
Text: David was Sent to the Battle
1 Samuel 17:36–37 (NIV)
Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.”
Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
When you think your friends tell you to do it this way or that way to overcome a issues in life, they may mean will but what worked fro them often time is not is going to work for you for the weapons of your warfare are not carnal.”
Their word can be comforting to your emotions but you can find yourself far from the truth of the God’s word.
1 Samuel 17:38–39 (NIV)
Then Saul dressed David in his own tunic. He put a coat of armor on him and a bronze helmet on his head. David fastened on his sword over the tunic and tried walking around, because he was not used to them.
1 Samuel 17:39–40 (NIV)
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off. Then he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling in his hand, approached the Philistine.
Point Two: I. We must learn to use the weapons of our warfare both spiritually and those that are physical. Because these the Lord has already proven them to you for battle. In the unseen realm then in the seen.
Text: David chooses to use what the Lord God has given him.
Application: I caution beloved don’t use the natural weapon for a righteous battle, consider a supernatural weapon for a Kingdom war.
a. Said two important things here
1. I cannot use these
2. David was testifying to Sual of what the Lord already done for him.
3. David statements that it was the Lord and not himself being purpose that it was not his pride or skill or knowledge of his enemy, but the King that sent him. The one overshadow and directing his every step.
1 Samuel 17:45–47 (NIV)
David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied. This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel. All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
Point There: Let not your heart, or mind convince your spirit-man that the Lord Almighty is not given you the Victory even before you face Giants (Strongholds) in this world. So watch what you say out of you mouth; watch what you are telling others; think about what you are Believe.
Why the only a Kingdom Sniper can be used against for giants.
Trans/ Application: See a sniper is patient ,stealth , focused, intentional, trained in the art of stalking his watching his enemy his habits, waiting for the right moment, destroy his nations enemy. He uses a weapon that strike from great distances. A Kingdom sniper is so sure of Gods proven weapon against his enemy he has given them to his servants use.
Text: David declared the Victory over the Gods enemies.
As the Philistine moved closer to attack him, David ran quickly toward the battle line to meet him. Reaching into his bag and taking out a stone, he slung it and struck the Philistine on the forehead. The stone sank into his forehead, and he fell facedown on the ground.
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter, e and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. Mt 16:17–18.
